SIA CCTV Course in Stratford

This SIA CCTV course in Stratford takes three days, 9am to 6pm, at our centre in E15. It leads to the Level 2 CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) award, which you need before you can apply for an SIA CCTV licence.

Why train in Stratford

Westfield Stratford City, the venues on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the offices of International Quarter London all depend on control rooms, and the station itself is one of the busiest interchanges in the country. If you want control room work in East London, this is a good place to learn it, and a good place to look for it afterwards.

What the three days look like

The course starts with the law and the operator's job: data protection, codes of practice, how a control room works with the police and on-site teams, and what to do in an emergency. The practical unit takes you through the equipment itself, including tracking people across cameras and recording incidents in a way that stands up as evidence. Exams are taken at the centre.

Adding a door licence

If you also want to work on the door, our Door Supervisor and CCTV bundle in Stratford runs both courses back to back in one booking. Already a door supervisor and coming up for renewal? The refresher and CCTV bundle does both jobs in a week.

Getting here

Stratford station has the Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines, the DLR, the Overground and National Rail, so most of East London and Essex is one journey away. More about the centre is on our Stratford page.
