SIA Door Supervisor Course in Forest Gate

Our SIA Door Supervisor course in Forest Gate is six days of training, Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 6pm, a short walk from Forest Gate station. First aid is included, taught as a half-day session on the first morning, and you take every exam at the centre.

Training on your doorstep in Newham

If you live in Forest Gate, Manor Park, East Ham, Upton Park or Ilford, the centre is close to home. Six days in a row is a commitment, and a short journey each morning makes it easier to arrive on time every day, which matters because the SIA requires full attendance.

Door Supervisor or Security Guard?

Forest Gate is the only centre where you can also book the SIA Security Guard course, so you can choose either here. A Door Supervisor licence lets you work on doors and as a security guard, while a Security Guard licence does not cover door work. That makes the Door Supervisor course the wider choice if you are starting out, especially with Stratford's venues and shopping centre two stops away.

What the course covers

You start with Emergency First Aid in the first half of day one, then study the four SIA units for door supervisors, covering the security industry and the law, the door supervisor role, conflict management and physical intervention. No experience is needed. You must be 18 or over, and you need to bring photo ID and two proofs of address dated within the last three months.

Want CCTV as well?

The Door Supervisor and CCTV bundle in Forest Gate adds three days of CCTV training straight after this course, in one booking and for less than the two courses cost separately.

Forest Gate station is on the Elizabeth line, two stops from Stratford and direct from Liverpool Street. More on the Forest Gate centre page.
