SIA Refresher Training in South West London

Our Battersea centre is the place to renew your SIA licence if you live or work south of the river. Our partner centre here runs the two-day Door Supervisor refresher and the one-day Security Guard refresher, both with Emergency First Aid included, a short walk from Clapham Junction.

Skip the trip east

Most of our London centres are in the East End, which can mean an hour or more each way from south London. If you work the late licence venues in Clapham, events on Clapham Common and in Battersea Park, or the shops and offices around Battersea Power Station, training on Battersea High Street keeps your journey short on the days you are not on shift.

Pick the right course

• Door Supervisor refresher (two days): for anyone who wants to keep working on the door. It starts with Emergency First Aid in the first half of day one, then a physical intervention refresher and the updated SIA content.
• Security Guard refresher (one day): for guarding licence holders staying in guarding. Emergency First Aid takes the first half of the day, then you cover the updated SIA units.

Choose your licence type when you book. Both end with an assessment on the final day.

Getting ready

Book four to five months ahead of your expiry date, because the SIA lets you renew up to four months early and adds the remaining time to your new licence. Already expired? You can still book. The SIA lets you renew before your licence expires or up to three years after it expires.

Complete the free ACT counter terrorism courses on the ProtectUK website before you arrive, as you need the certificates for the course, and bring photo ID with two recent proofs of address.

Add CCTV while you are here

The Door Supervisor refresher and CCTV bundle in South West London renews your door licence and adds a CCTV qualification in one booking, five days in total. Clapham Junction, about ten minutes on foot, is the nearest station; see the South West London centre page for more.
