SIA Security Guard Refresher (Top Up) in Stratford

Made to fit around shift work

The day itself

The first half of the day is Emergency First Aid, covering CPR, defibrillator use, choking and bleeding. Then you cover the SIA's current content for security officers, including searching, safeguarding vulnerable people and terror awareness. A short multiple choice and practical assessment completes the course.

Getting it right first time

1. Check your expiry date and book four to five months ahead. Already expired? You can still book. The SIA lets you renew before your licence expires or up to three years after it expires.
2. Complete the free ACT counter terrorism courses on the ProtectUK website and keep the certificates. You need them before the course.
3. Bring photo ID and two proofs of address dated within the last three months.
