SIA Door Supervisor Refresher (Top Up) in Stratford

At our Stratford centre the SIA Door Supervisor refresher runs over one weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6.30pm, next to Stratford station. Emergency First Aid is included, so the course covers everything the SIA needs before you renew a Door Supervisor licence.

Who it suits

Stratford is home to a lot of door and event work, from Westfield Stratford City and the Olympic Park venues to the bars around the town centre. If that is where you work, or you live anywhere along the Central, Jubilee or Elizabeth lines, this is likely to be your easiest centre to reach.

What the weekend covers

Saturday starts with Emergency First Aid, a half-day session covering CPR, defibrillators, choking and bleeding. After that you refresh physical intervention and conflict management and go through the updated SIA content on searching, safeguarding vulnerable people and terror awareness. You are assessed on the Sunday, so you can be back at work on Monday.

When to book

Plan for four to five months before your licence expires. You can apply to the SIA up to four months early without losing any time on your current licence, and booking ahead means you choose the dates rather than taking whatever is left. Already expired? You can still book. The SIA lets you renew before your licence expires or up to three years after it expires.

Finish the free ACT counter terrorism courses on the ProtectUK website before day one. You need the certificates to take the refresher.
