SIA Door Supervisor Refresher (Top Up) in Aldgate

This SIA Door Supervisor refresher in Aldgate takes two days, from 9am to 6.30pm, at our partner centre on Osborn Street where Brick Lane meets Whitechapel High Street. Emergency First Aid is part of the course, so when you finish you have everything the SIA needs for your renewal.

Who books it

The course suits door supervisors working the bars and clubs around Brick Lane, Shoreditch and the City. The centre is in the middle of that area, so if you work around Brick Lane or the City, it is on your doorstep.

What happens on the course

The refresher brings your skills in line with the current SIA standards. Day one starts with Emergency First Aid, a half-day session covering CPR, using a defibrillator, choking and serious bleeding. After that you spend time on physical intervention and handling conflict, then cover searching, safeguarding vulnerable people and terror awareness. You are assessed on the final day.

Complete the free ACT Awareness and ACT Security courses on the ProtectUK website before you arrive. They take around two hours between them, and you need the certificates before the course starts.

If your licence has already expired, you can still book. The SIA lets you renew before your licence expires or up to three years after it expires.
