Door Supervisor Refresher and CCTV Course Bundle in Stratford

Renewal training keeps you where you are. This bundle turns the same trip into a second licence. The 2-day Door Supervisor Refresher with First Aid, then the full 3-day Level 2 CCTV course: five days in total, both at our Stratford E15 centre, for £460. Bought one at a time, the Stratford refresher would be £210 and CCTV £300.

Door work is physical and mostly nights. Control room work is neither. The CCTV licence is what lets you move between the two, and the cheapest time to get it is while you are already booked in. You make one booking rather than two, and because both SIA applications go in together, the second licence costs less.

How the week runs

1. Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 6.30pm. The Door Supervisor refresher. A half-day of Emergency First Aid takes up the first half of day one, then Unit 1 (searching, vulnerability, spiking, terror threat) and Unit 2 (the physical intervention refresher).
2. Monday and Tuesday. Free.
3. Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Level 2 CCTV Public Space Surveillance, Units 1 to 3: industry and law, operator role and data protection, then hands-on camera and control room work. No first aid here.

Both qualifications carry SIA minimum contact hours, so you must attend every day. The calendar on this page lists the refresher first. Either half can come first, though, and a call to us is all it takes to swap them.

Covered by the fee

Both qualifications, Emergency First Aid, the self-study pack, mock papers, all assessments and both certificates. There are no separate exam or certification fees.

Training in Stratford

Stratford E15, two to five minutes’ walk from Stratford station, which has the Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines, the DLR and the Overground. Westfield, the Olympic Park and the London Stadium all run surveillance operations within a mile of the classroom, so both licences have somewhere local to go the week you get them.

Door work in London is mostly paid by the hour and weighted to nights and weekends. Control room posts are more often salaried and run on set shift patterns. With both licences you can go for either.

What you need

You must be 18 or over, have the right to work in the UK and hold a Door Supervisor licence that is either current or no more than three years out of date. If you have never been licensed, book the SIA Door Supervisor Course in Stratford instead. Bring photo ID and two proofs of address from the past three months. Booking a place

Select a start date, press Book, fill in your name, email and mobile and pay £150 by card. Confirmation and joining instructions follow by email at once. In total it is £460, £150 deposit to book, £310 at the centre on day one, whether you start with the refresher or with CCTV.

When you pass, submit the renewal and the new CCTV application together through the SIA licence application service. Approval can take up to eight weeks.

FAQs

Can I still renew if my licence has expired?

Yes, as long as it expired no more than three years ago. That is the SIA’s limit. Further back than that, call us with the date before booking.

I hold a valid First Aid certificate. Does the price drop?

No, the fee stays at £460. Bring the certificate on day one; whether you can skip the session depends on the award and how long it has left, so it is checked on the day.

Does the CCTV licence need refresher training to renew?

Not currently. The refresher requirement introduced in April 2025 applies to Door Supervisor renewal, not CCTV.

What if I fail an assessment?

You can resit. SIA resits cost £50 per unit and are booked through the office.
